Bronze Innovators: DigiAM innovation receives national recognition

The Stroka Business Group has once again proved that we are at the very top of the Slovenian innovation world. Today, on the 10th of September 2024, at the ceremony of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (GZS), where the highest national awards for innovation were presented, we were proud to receive a bronze award for our innovation DigiAM. This award is another important step forward for us and an outstanding recognition of our long-standing work and commitment to technological progress.

DigiAM - an industry-changing innovation

DigiAM, our advanced hybrid additive manufacturing solution, brings revolutionary possibilities for optimising production processes. By integrating state-of-the-art technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cloud-based data storage, DigiAM enables manufacturers to have better control over the process and improved product quality. Early detection of defects, prediction of construction successes and long-term data storage ensure that companies can more easily achieve superior results.

Participation in Innovation Day 2024

The Innovation Day 2024, organised by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, was not only an opportunity to receive an award, but also a chance to exchange experiences and knowledge among entrepreneurs and innovators from all over Slovenia. The event focused on the importance of innovation for the future and sustainable development, in which we were also active participants. Our CEO and owner, Sandi Markon, took part in a panel discussion entitled "The Entrepreneur - a Successful Navigator on Wild and Still Waters", where he discussed the challenges and opportunities of innovation in a rapidly changing business environment.

Stimulating innovation and staff development

Sandi Markon presented how we foster innovation and create the conditions for human resources development in our company. The creation of the Department of Research and Development (DCC) has enabled our experts to focus on testing and developing advanced solutions that bring added value to our customers. He stressed that it is crucial for companies to invest in staff development, motivate proactive employees and build an environment that encourages creative thinking.

The long road to innovation - from teleworking to the Bronze Award

Looking back, we were forced to set up a teleworking tool in 2002 because we needed to help our customers, and Carinthia is already so far away on the map, and even further away in reality. Our company, operating in a region with limited transport links, faced additional challenges such as poor transport links to central Slovenia. The construction of the third development axis and the integration of Carinthia into the motorway network are therefore crucial for the further development of businesses in our region. However, it is precisely these challenges that force us to innovate and develop new ways of doing business, as we have been doing for more than two decades.

Partnerships with leading companies and sustainable practices

In the discussion on strategic partnerships, Markon stressed the importance of innovation in collaborations with companies such as Toyota. Our sustainable practices, such as the use of Kinto Share or Toyota DriveMe for electric vehicle sharing, are not only environmentally responsible but also cost-effective. Innovations that benefit both the company and the environment are key to long-term success, as our DigiAM also demonstrates through its ability to optimise production processes.
